These Terms of Service (“Terms”) set out the agreement between Probate Plan (“we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“you”, “the customer”) when you use our website or purchase a Probate Plan.
By using our website or buying a Probate Plan, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, please do not use our service.

1. About Probate Plan
Probate Plan provides a personalised, plain-English probate preparation plan designed for simple UK estates. The service explains steps, tasks, documents, and when a solicitor may be required.
We do not provide legal advice, legal services, or regulated activities.
Our product is a guided information tool only.
2. Eligibility
You must be:

Acting as (or assisting) an executor or administrator for a UK estate

Providing accurate information to the best of your knowledge
If you knowingly submit false, misleading, or incomplete information, we cannot guarantee the accuracy or usefulness of the output.
3. What you receive
When you purchase a Probate Plan, you will receive:

A personalised PDF prepared using the information you provide

Step-by-step tasks, checklists, deadlines, and document guidance

Information on when probate is required
-
Indicators of when it may be sensible to consult a solicitor

Delivery within 24 hours for simple estates (Monday–Friday)
4. Suitability
Probate Plan is designed for simple UK estates, typically involving:

A small number of assets

One or two beneficiaries
-
No disputes
-
No foreign property or complex trusts
-
No business ownership or complex tax issues
If your answers indicate a complex situation, we will notify you and issue a refund.
5. 7-Day Suitability Guarantee
If your estate is not suitable for our service, you are entitled to a full refund.
You may request a refund if:

We inform you that your estate does not meet the criteria for a simple estate, or

You contact us within 7 days of purchase because the plan is not appropriate for your situation

We typically process refunds within 5–7 business days.
6. No legal advice
Probate Plan does not provide legal advice.
Nothing in your PDF, on our website, or in our communications should be interpreted as:

Legal advice

A substitute for a solicitor

Specialist tax or financial advice

A guarantee that probate will or will not be required
We provide general guidance based on the information you submit.
You are responsible for deciding when to obtain professional legal or financial support.
7. No liability
To the fullest extent permitted by UK law:

We are not liable for any loss, damage, cost, or claim arising from your use of the Probate Plan, including reliance on the guidance.

This includes financial loss, legal costs, administrative outcomes, delays, penalties, or disputes.

You remain responsible for completing tasks correctly, submitting government paperwork, and obtaining professional advice where needed.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability where it cannot legally be excluded. If you are disatisfied with your plan, please contact us within 7 days for full refund.
8. Your responsibilities
You agree that:

9. Delivery timelines
We aim to deliver your personalised PDF within 24 hours (Monday–Friday).
Orders placed on weekends or bank holidays may take slightly longer.
We are not responsible for delays caused by:

Technical issues outside our control

Email filters, spam folders, or incorrect email addresses
10. Intellectual property
All content, including the Probate Plan PDF, website copy, and templates, is owned by Probate Plan.
You may share your PDF with relevant family members or co-executors, but you may not:

Pass it off as your own work
11. Payment and pricing
Prices are displayed clearly on our website.
All payments are processed securely through Wix/Stripe.
We reserve the right to update pricing at any time.
